Weekend Edition: Harvesting Health & Happiness in the Garden

Re-Introducing Tea with Tess - an interview with Candy Price

Morning Pause 'n Tea is your digital invitation to breathe deep, nourish yourself, and pause 🌿 Join me for weekly holistic—and realistic—ideas on wellness, nourishing recipes, and intentional self-care.

The first peonies of the year are just coming out in our garden this week! I absolutely love those big, beautiful flowers.

As Spring hits the Northern Hemisphere, many of us start making our grand return to the garden. The dreary grays and wintery chills are departing and little green sprouts on dormant shoots are starting to make their presence. Pops of color from early spring crocuses and daffodils are starting to grace the garden grounds while cherry and plum trees bright the skies with shades of whites and pinks.

If you’re a gardener, your sun filled spots in your house or greenhouse may currently be filled with little pots sowed with seeds in preparation for the coming gardening season. [My dad even uses a heated pad to help give his seedlings an extra boost. It’s amazing how well it works!] You may have already finished your late winter pruning and early Spring garden clearing, getting ready to plant for the new season.

Even if you’re not a gardener, you may just be excited to see the notes of Spring popping up around you.

Re-introducing Tea with Tess

It seems fitting then, that as the Earth starts to come back alive with the shades of new growth and color, I’d start the rebirth of a laid-aside project: Tea with Tess

Tea with Tess are down-to-earth interviews with fascinating people that I had the fortune to connect with and sit down over a cup of tea to discuss interesting topics. It was a project I started when I launched Morning Pause ‘n Tea over a year ago, but then ended up putting aside because there were just too many spokes in the fire, so to speak, and I didn’t have enough time to dedicate to it.

Psst. Want to listen to the other Tea with Tess interviews I did ? Click here

But it feels right to start it up again, now.

The plan is that each month I’ll be sharing a new Tea with Tess interview with you here on Morning Pause ‘n Tea. Myself and a guest will sit down over a cup of tea and invite you in on our conversation. Neither the conversations nor the questions are scripted ahead of time. Just the invitation to let the conversation go where it takes us.

For this first come-back episode I’m joined by Candy Price (

). I originally met Candy while working on the Shaktri Rising Summit for International Women’s Day and really connected with her. She’s another gardening enthusiast along with being a wellness professional, so we really hit it off from the get go.

I absolutely loved our chat about all things gardening, yoga and so much more. I hope you enjoy it, too!

So, without further ado, go make yourself a cuppa and come join us!
